Select a plan that works for both services. If your plan has a monthly membership fee, you are only charged once per month, giving you access to both Evie and HOURCAR rates. Membership plans can be changed every month, with the exception of the Backup Plan, which can be changed to a monthly paid plan at any time.
HOURCAR provides a variety of hub-based vehicles for round-trips as short as 30 minutes or as long as 3 days in the Minneapolis and Saint Paul Metro Area. This means each HOURCAR must be returned to its hub on-time. Make a reservation up to 6 months in advance.

Evie provides a fleet of all-electric vehicles for one-way, by-the-minute trips around Minneapolis and Saint Paul Minnesota. Trips must begin and end in our Home Area in an approved, on-street space.

Fill up with standard gasoline if it’s 1/4 tank or less. 5 or more gallons earns you a $4 Drive Credit towards a future trip. There is a fuel card in the glovebox and a driver pin found in the app once you start your trip. Don’t print the receipt, we already have the transaction documented on our end.
All electric HOURCAR trips must be ended with the vehicle charging at the end of the trip so the next member gets max range.
You are never required to charge an Evie, but if you do, we’ll automatically give you a $4 credit when you end your trip plugged-in at a green EV Spot Charger. Any Evie with a low charge is automatically placed out of service so our team can come and charge it up.
Long trip? Find charging cards inside of the glovebox for EV Spot, Zef, and Chargepoint charging networks.
All HOURCAR trips require you to return the car on-time back to the hub where it belongs.
Returning a car later then scheduled may delay another members trip, so if you are returning late, give us a call so we can help reduce inconveniences.
Make sure you turn off the lights upon return.
All Evie trips require you to park the car in an approved parking space in the Home Area. Approved spaces are those with meters timed 2 hours or greater, any area requiring a residential permit, or any regular neighborhood on-street parallel parking space.

All Drive Credit is applied to your account within 3 business days and expires 60 days once applied, unless stated otherwise. View credit via the app or in your account online.

We charge fees to discourage inconvenience to fellow members of our carsharing community. We’d always rather hear from you than not if there’s anything that we should be aware of, so communicate with us to avoid most fees.
Excessive Cleaning Fee = up to $200 per instance (includes smoking, pet, trash, and odor)
Biohazard Cleaning Fee = $250 biohazard service removal fee + Unavailable Vehicle Fee per Day + other additional fees as relevant
Unsecured Vehicle Fee = up to $75 per occurrence (check your trip is ended by making sure the doors are locked and the GoTo reader has a green light)
Unavailable Vehicle Fee = Day rate times number of days vehicle was impounded/unavailable for rental
Dead Battery = up to $40 per occurrence (first step is to make sure all headlights are off)
Excessive/Major Violation of Terms = $250 Fee + Cost of repair/cleaning + possible membership revocation
Excessive Complaint = up to $50 per incident
Late return = $40 per incident
Return with 1/4 tank or less of fuel = $25
