HOURCAR is excited to share that Round 2 applications are now open for the Multifamily Project.
The Multifamily Project will bring up to a total of 50 all-electric vehicles to multifamily complexes around the Twin Cities metropolitan area with a focus on affordable housing sites.
In partnership with Xcel Energy, American Lung Association, and East Metro Strong, the project aims to increase electric mobility options for residents at income levels that have been traditionally underserved while also decreasing barriers to building out electric vehicle charging stations at multifamily dwellings.
Vehicles in the Multifamily Project will function like all other HOURCAR vehicles, available for round-trips as short as 30 minutes and as long as 3 days.
Low-income members may qualify for the Access PLUS plan, providing the lowest rates available on any HOURCAR plan. To join the Access PLUS plan, members must self-certify during their application period or submit their self-certification here.
